Join us at Berlin Photo Studio for a hands-on analog experience diving into the world of ECN-2 film — the iconic stock behind countless motion pictures.

Led by Mengfan Yang, this workshop is designed for photographers who are curious about cinematic color, and ready to learn the full ECN-2 workflow from camera to negative.

What to Expect:

• Introduction to ECN-2 Film: Learn about its history, qualities, and how it differs from standard C-41 stocks.

• Guided Shooting Session: Receive tips and techniques as you shoot ECN-2 film in a variety of lighting conditions.

• Hands-On Developing: Step-by-step guidance on processing your ECN-2 film, including insights into chemistry, timing, and troubleshooting.

• Group Discussion: Review and discuss your developed negatives, sharing insights and experiences with fellow participants.

Who Should Attend:

This workshop is ideal for photographers who already have basic film photography knowledge and are eager to explore the unique world of ECN-2 processing.

What to Bring:

• A camera that can shoot ECN-2 film (or rent one from us).

• ECN-2 film rolls (can be purchased at the workshop if needed).

• A notebook for taking notes.

If you don’t have an analog camera, we can provide one – please arrive at least 15 minutes early and inform the instructor in advance, so we can prepare a suitable camera and walk you through basic operations.

Please note: participants using our cameras must stay with the group during the photo walk. For equipment safety and smooth coordination, we kindly ask you not to leave the group without informing the instructor.Any loss or damage of borrowed equipment will require full compensation based on current market value.

Important Notes:

• Punctuality matters: The workshop will start on time and won’t be delayed for late arrivals.If you’re late, you’re still welcome to join the remaining part of the session – however, we do not offer rescheduling or make-up time.We appreciate your understanding and ask that you respect the time of the instructor and fellow participants.
• This workshop does not include film scanning services. If you would like us to develop scan your film afterwards, you can either select the relevant add-ons at checkout, or pay for the services separately at the studio.
