🌿 WHAT IS THIS RETREAT?
Shinrin yoku (Japanese for "forest bathing") is the practice of immersing yourself in nature slowly, with all of your senses open. It’s not your typical hiking, but simply being present in the living world of trees, light, birdsong, and earth.
This retreat is part of heart fest — a day dedicated to celebrating and honoring the heart in its fullest sense. May 28 was chosen intentionally: 5/28 echoes 528hz, known as the miracle frequency or the love frequency. And the heart we're honoring goes far beyond the physical and beyond romance. It’s your emotional heart. Your intuitive heart. The part of you that knows things before your mind catches up. The part of you that has been waiting, maybe for a long time, to be heard.
We're carrying that spirit into the woods on May 30, a Saturday, so you have the space and ease to truly be present and let the forest become both mirror and medicine.
This half-day experience is guided by Rachel, a Certified Neurotransformational Coach and Identity Coach. It unfolds as a series of gentle invitations: to notice, to wonder, to rest, and to listen. You will be guided through sensory awakenings, solo wandering, a deep stillness practice, and a closing circle to share what the day offered.
No experience is necessary. All that is asked is that you arrive with an open heart and a willingness to slow down.
🌿 WHY FOREST BATHING? THE SCIENCE
Decades of research, pioneered in Japan and now supported by studies worldwide, shows that time in nature does something measurable and profound to the body and mind.
- Supports heart health: Lowers blood pressure and heart rate, activating the body's rest-and-repair mode
- Clears mental fatigue: Reduces rumination and restores the capacity for focus and creativity
- Boosts immunity: Trees emit phytoncides that increase natural killer cell activity for up to 30 days after a single outing
- Lowers stress hormones: Measurably reduces cortisol and adrenaline, even in short sessions
- Lifts mood: Participants consistently report reduced anxiety and increased feelings of vitality and warmth
- Deepens self-connection: Creates the rare quiet that lets you hear what your heart has been trying to say

This retreat is NOT
... a hike or physical challenge (we move at a comfortable pace)
... a therapy session, though it may feel healing
... a silent retreat; conversation is welcome, just kept soft and gentle enough to honor the natural sounds around us
... a workshop or lecture — there is no content to absorb, only experience to embody
SPACE IS LIMITED
This retreat is intentionally kept small to ensure an intimate, unhurried experience for every participant. Reserve your spot early.
Looking forward to being in the forest with you. 🌲
