About this Event

Ready to get SHIMMILICIOUS? ✨

This isn’t your traditional belly dance class.

SHIMMILICIOUS takes the shimmies, hip movements, isolations and delicious movement vocabulary of belly dance and turns them into one playful, high-energy hour.

We’ll break down enough technique to get you moving—then we’re going to DANCE.

Expect unexpected music, easy-to-follow combinations, plenty of shimmies, a little silliness and a class designed so that even a complete beginner can jump in and have fun.

Never belly danced before? Come on.

Experienced dancer who just wants to move without taking yourself too seriously tonight? Come on.

What we’ll do

✨ Learn a few belly dance moves✨ Shimmy (a lot)✨ Explore juicy hip isolations✨ Follow easy dance combinations✨ Move to unexpected, nontraditional music✨ Play with rhythm + expression✨ Follow the Bouncing Butt 🍑✨ Put the technique aside long enough to actually dance.

And once we’ve got the basics?

We’ll turn the music up and let those hips do what we came here to do. 💃🏾

SHIMMILICIOUS is designed to meet you at the beginning.

You don’t need:

• dance experience
• flexibility
• a certain body type
• a costume
• a naturally magical shimmy 😂

You just need a body that’s ready to explore.

💗 What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely and see the movement of your hips and legs.

Leggings, yoga pants, fitted shorts, a crop top, tank, T-shirt or your favorite dancewear are all welcome.

Hip scarves are absolutely welcome if you have one—but not required.

SHIMMILICIOUS requires a minimum of 10 registered dancers to take place.

Your early registration helps us bring the class to life! Once our minimum enrollment is reached, registered guests will receive final class confirmation and venue details.

If minimum enrollment isn’t reached, your ticket will be fully refunded.
