"I’m a self employed arborist and have been working with rope for nearly 25 years. I’ve also had the opportunity to teach rope to people individually or in groups since the moment I first laid my hands on rope in 2001. Recently, I’ve started delving into decorative shibari and rope bondage after having lightly dabbled with it for the last five years.
The art, knowledge of safety, and skills needed to play with ropes comes naturally to me as this is a skill I use almost daily as a climbing arborist and rigger.
I really enjoy the connection aspect of rope and how it can prolong moments of sensuality or intimacy between people. Even teaching other tree climbers their knots is a deeply connecting experience. I find that rope can also lead to a very healing experience with elements of neo tantra incorporated."
