Join us for our March Wine Dinner, we are excited to showcase wines from Shiba Wichern in collaboration with our friends at Mission Grape. A special highlight of the evening will be guest speaker Akiko Shiba, winemaker and co-owner, who will share her journey and insights about her wines.
Akiko earned her degree in Enology and Viticulture from the University of Geisenheim in 2009. Her extensive hands-on experience spans both vineyards and cellars, with stints in Germany and Oregon. In Oregon, she has worked at esteemed wineries such as Evesham Wood, St. Innocent, Ayres, and Domaine Serene. In Germany, her experience includes time at Franz Keller, Schamari-Muehle, Heyl zu Herrnsheim, Chat Sauvage, and Rudolph Fuerst.
Before transitioning into the wine industry, Akiko graduated from the prestigious Keio University and worked in Tokyo as an editor and journalist specializing in food and drink.
Chef Steve Zurkey has expertly crafted the five-course paired dinner, which will also feature a welcome pour. Tickets are $115++ per person. Please note that the ticket price is $115, but the gratuity has already been added to the ticket price upon checkout.
