SHHS 70th Anniversary Fall Celebration

Join the South Hagerstown High Anniversary Association in celebrating South High's milestone 70th anniversary on Saturday, October 24! This event is part two of the celebration which kicked off in May.
More details about this event will be announced soon. However, this event will be fun for the entire family and all generations of Rebels!
Opening Ceremony - 11 a.m.: Presentation of colors, a performance of the Star Spangled Banner, a moment of remembrance for classmates, staff and servicemen and women who are no longer with us, a group singing of the school's alma mater (lyrics provided). Weather permitting, this ceremony will take place at the flag pole in front of the school. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held inside the gym.
After the ceremony - "Mega reunion"/social hour in the gym: All classes will have the opportunity to reunite and socialize with classmates you graduated with and among decades of students who were at South High at the same time that you were! A DJ will provide music and honorary guests will be recognized.
At noon: Food trucks will open for business offering a variety of food, drinks and treats during your visit. The cafeteria will be open allowing alumni the opportunity to have lunch in the cafeteria for old times sake. Stay tuned for the line up of food trucks announced soon!
Open House: Alumni and guests will have the opportunity to explore the school and learn about its history. Historical archive artifacts, yearbooks, South Wind student newspapers and tributes to the staff who impacted over 70 years and thousands of students will be around the building.
Guided tours: Offered at 12:15 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. starting in the gym. An additional tour may be added if necessary.
