# SHEY PRESENTS: OUR FIRST SAPPHIC SOCIAL

SHEY is officially outside.
Come spend the afternoon with us for our very first SHEY Social - a grown, intentional sapphic experience created for connection, good energy, culture, laughter, music, food, and actually meeting people.
SHEY was created because we wanted something more than another nightlife event.
We wanted spaces where sapphics could walk in, feel welcomed, meet new people, build real friendships, flirt if the vibe is right, laugh, eat good food, hear good music, try something different, and leave feeling like they were part of something.
So that is exactly what we are building.
For our first event, we’re taking over **Torbert Street Social** in Wilmington for an afternoon designed to make connecting feel natural - whether you arrive with your whole crew, come with one friend, or walk in by yourself.

## WHO IS SHEY FOR?
SHEY is an intentionally sapphic social community centering **Black and Brown connection, culture, joy and belonging.**
**Sapphics of all races and cultural backgrounds are warmly welcomed.**
Our events are created for women and gender-diverse people who identify with or feel genuinely connected to sapphic identity and community. This may include lesbian, bisexual, pansexual and queer women, trans women, nonbinary and gender-diverse sapphics, she/they sapphics, and others whose identities are rooted in the sapphic experience.
SHEY is **not a general LGBTQ+ or ally event** and is not intended for people who identify as men or people who do not have a genuine connection to sapphic identity and community.
We center Black and Brown sapphics.\
We welcome the wider sapphic community.\
We protect the intention of the space.\
And we build connection, culture, joy and belonging together.
## TICKETS
We want SHEY to be both sustainable and accessible, so we are offering three ticket levels.
All three tickets provide the **same event experience and admission.** Choose the level that best fits your circumstances.
### COMMUNITY ACCESS — $20
A reduced-price ticket for members of our community who would love to attend and for whom the standard ticket price may create a barrier.
No explanation needed. If this ticket makes SHEY more accessible for you, it is for you.
### SHEY SOCIAL — $30
Our standard ticket price and the best reflection of the cost of producing the SHEY experience.
### COMMUNITY SUPPORTER — $40
For community members who have a little more room to give and want to help us keep SHEY accessible to others.
Your additional support helps us offer Community Access tickets while continuing to create intentional, high-quality sapphic experiences.
**Every ticket includes admission, food, and the full SHEY experience.**
Drinks are available for purchase from the cash bar.
## COME SOLO. SERIOUSLY.
You absolutely do not need to bring someone with you.
One of the reasons we created SHEY is because it can be hard to build new community when everyone seems to already know everyone.
So if you’ve been waiting for somebody to invite you somewhere sapphic…

## FAQ
**Is SHEY only for Black and Brown sapphics?**
No. SHEY intentionally centers the connection, culture, joy, and experiences of Black and Brown sapphics while warmly welcoming sapphics of all racial and cultural backgrounds who respect and embrace the intention of the space.
Centering Black and Brown people means our experiences are intentionally created with Black and Brown sapphics at the heart of the room rather than as an afterthought. It does not mean other sapphics are excluded.
**Who can attend SHEY?**
SHEY is for women and gender-diverse people who identify with or have a genuine connection to sapphic identity and community.
That can include lesbians, bisexual and pansexual women, queer women, trans women, nonbinary sapphics, gender-diverse sapphics and others connected to sapphic identity.
**Do I have to use she/her pronouns?**
No.
Pronouns alone do not determine whether someone is sapphic. SHEY welcomes sapphics who use she/her, she/they, they/them and other pronouns.
What matters is a genuine connection to sapphic identity and community.
**Can men attend?**
SHEY gatherings are intentionally created as sapphic spaces and are not intended for people who identify as men.
These gatherings are intentionally reserved for people connected to sapphic identity and community.
**Is this a dating event?**
No.
You might meet somebody you want to flirt with - and we fully support that energy - but SHEY is much bigger than dating.
Our goal is community.
Friendships. Connection. Chosen family. New experiences. People to brunch with, travel with, dance with, laugh with and call when something fun is happening.
**Can I come alone?**
Please do.
We are intentionally designing SHEY events so that you do not need an established friend group to participate.
**Is food included?**
Yes. small bites are included in your ticket price.
A cash bar will also be available for guests who would like to purchase drinks.
**What should I wear?**
Come feeling like yourself.
Cute. Comfortable. Femme. Masc. Stud. Soft masc. Androgynous. Sporty. Grown and sexy. Streetwear. Sunday-fine.
There is no SHEY uniform.
We want the room to look like the beautifully diverse sapphic community it represents.
