Join us for an interactive professional learning session designed to empower educators with the knowledge they need to integrate Structured Literacy into their Physical Education and Health programs and curricula, ultimately raising achievement. Educators will leave this session with tools, resources, and strategies.
· Understand and explain literacy, as well as the components of literacy instruction.
· Understand the importance of literacy to the development and success of a child.
· Understand how integrating physical literacy affects physical education and health.
· Identify the essential components of physical literacy.
· Learn strategies to integrate literacy instruction in the classroom, including speaking and listening, reasoning, vocabulary development, and writing and reading.
· Learn how to use literacy integration to adjust instruction, introduce and inform planning, build skills, and raise achievement.
· Please bring a device (laptop or tablet) and a copy of your assessment tools, as well as curriculum/materials.
