Cuivre River State Park will host Camp Sherwood Beautification Day on Saturday, April 25, 2026 to help staff prepare the camp for incoming summer camps. Camp Sherwood has been a part of the Troy community for over 80 years and is on the National Register of Historic Places.During the event, volunteers will assist staff with a variety projects that will spruce up the camp for our visitors. Some projects include cleaning camp dishes, sweeping out the buildings, leaf blowing, and more! There are projects for volunteers of all ages!
Scout and civic groups are encouraged to join us, we just ask that children have plenty of adult helpers.
The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and volunteers can stay for as little or as long as you would like. We ask that volunteers arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. to sign volunteer paperwork.
Lunch will be provided for volunteers. Volunteers should call the park office to sign up to ensure there is enough supplies and food for everyone. The park office number is 636-528-7247
