Hello and welcome to the Shepton Mallet Jumble Trail 2026!
Your opportunity to sell your unwanted items from the comfort of your garden or driveway, and for buyers to explore our lovely little town and meet new people.
The trail is free to buyers and sellers. The only money changing hands is for the objects being sold.
Sellers, to be included on the map you MUST message the organisers via Facebook Messenger by the 28th of June 2026 at 6pm.
We'll need your address only. We won't be sharing names.
After this deadline you can still take part but won't be on the map or address list.
Buyers keep your eyes peeled on this Facebook page for what goodies are on offer and where!
Note to everyone: there will be NO printed maps. Make sure you screen shot the map, consult the address list and use your favourite map app for directions. The map and list of addresses will be published on this page after the 28th June.
If the weather is forecast to be bad, we'll check the Met Office website for heavy rain and wind, and post on the page if the trail is OFF. Please don't ask if it's still on. Unless we say other wise it is.
If someone is sold out, shut up shop, doesn't open shop so to speak don't blame the organisers.
And that really is that.
Have fun selling and trailing, and good luck to you all.
OK, now a few 'house rules'
SELLERS
1. You'll get lots of footfall if you post on the Facebook page in advance the sorts of things you're selling.
2. Make sure you're set up by 10am. If you're set up earlier and happy for people to browse/buy that's up to you.
3. We're not (the organisers) supplying tables, chairs etc.
4. DO NOT block the pavement or anyone else's property.
You're selling from your garden or driveway. You MUST get the permission of any other landowner if you want to sell from somewhere that's not yours.
Also if you need to move your car off your drive to sell don't block someone else in or make it hard for folks to navigate your street.
5. No insurance is implied or given by the organisers.
Call the Police if anyone is being disrespectful or threatening.
If you don't want someone on your property tell them to leave.
Make sure you lock your doors and garage.
6. Don't sell anything that His Majesties Police Force might deem illegal or that you'd need a licence for.
It's up to you and the buyer to agree a price and confirm what works, missing things etc.
The organisers take no responsibility.
7. Have fun and make some money!
BUYERS
1. Please consider walking or cycling from house to house.
If you have to drive please do so with consideration. Don't speed, kids might be out playing, and DO NOT park infront of anyone's drive who is not taking part in the trail. Let's try not to upset anyone.
2. We're sure most sellers will only be taking cash. They're not banks so don't turn up with a £20 note to pay for something that's £1.
Bring your own bags too.
3. Unless the seller is happy for you to start rummaging whilst they're setting up, the trail starts at 10am end time around 3pm.
4. Be respectful to those selling.
Everyone wants a bargain but sellers want to earn a few quid too.
Also don't trample on their flowers, let your dog defecate on the their drive and take your rubbish with you.
If they ask you to leave or don't want you on their property, don't push your luck.
5. If you see something that doesn't look right, walk away.
The organisers do not offer or imply any warranty or guarantee to any object being sold.
Make sure you're 100% happy with the object before you hand over any cash.
6. Hope you grab a bargain!
