About this Event
Be our guests aboard the Shelter Island ferry boat from Greenport and get ready to experience a Private Tour for Two on this tranquil Peconic Bay island! Our state-of-the-art pedal-assist ebikes make this guided adventure a “no sweat” riding experience guaranteed to keep you smiling throughout a memorable 20+ mile lap across this bike-riding paradise.
It starts when you meet our team and our Royal Dutch Gazelle eBikes at the Greenport North Ferry Parking Lot (100 3rd Street, Greenport, NY 11944), then we walk onto the ferry for the short boat ride across the harbor to our Shelter Island destination.
Prior to the tour, we’ll have a riders’ meeting, which includes an orientation and fitting to your electric bikes plus safe riding instructions for our ride. Now we are ready to rock and roll! You will marvel how smoothly you pedal by colorful gingerbread houses and spectacular beaches on quiet back roads while zipping-up hills with ease thanks to our Bosch powered electric bikes. Along the journey, there will be a special visit to the island’s historic first settlement, Sylvester Manor (est. 1651) to see its antique gardens on an amazing 243 acre estate. We’ll take water breaks and photo-ops at all the scenic overlooks and shores while pedaling at a leisurely pace throughout the 3 - 4 hour ride.
Our adventure tour winds down at an outdoor waterfront cafe for a coffee or cool drink before we hop on the ferry for our return ride back to the docks in beautiful downtown Greenport.

How to prepare for your Electric Bikes A Go Go eBike Tour Experience
Please arrive promptly (or a few minutes early) for your start time. Riders late for the scheduled 15 minute ORIENTATION & FITTING risk forfeiture of tour ride.
Orientation and Fitting: This is when your Electric Bike Experience tour starts. Tour guides will properly fit you to your reserved eBike and give a tutorial of its specialized controls. A rider meeting will discuss safe riding and rules of the road for the group ride and answer any questions. All riders will be asked to demonstrate confident riding skills before we go on the group ride.
Electric Bikes A Go Go provides a bicycle helmet (feel free to bring your own!) and bottled water. Each eBike has a small zippered handlebar bag for your cell phone, wallet and keys.
We require riders to wear sunglasses or clear eyewear, comfortable closed-toed shoes (no sandals or flip-flops), and bring a windbreaker jacket. During cooler weather, a suitable jacket and gloves are advisable and will make the ride more enjoyable. If you'd like to bring anything else (snacks, sunscreen, etc.), make sure to bring a backpack!
It is recommended that you bring sunscreen, this is an outdoor activity!

Andy & Mary Anna Morris
Organizers of Shelter Island Electric Bike Tour, Shelter Island, NY $225
As lifelong bicycling and travel enthusiasts, it was only natural for Andy and Mary Anna Morris to be curious about the many advantages of riding on modern ebikes. After five years of experiencing them on spectacular adventure tours all over the US and Europe, they realized that electric pedal-assist on a bike meant more people were now able to continue to enjoy cycling longer, improving fitness and well-being, while maintaining independence. Most of all, they are FUN to ride!
As a volunteer bicycling consultant to Southampton Town, Suffolk County and NYS governments, Andy is actively involved in the planning of safety improvements to the East End’s bicycling and pedestrian infrastructure, while encouraging cycling as a major force to tackle pollution and traffic congestion while increasing the health and well-being of its residents. Such sustainable movements are happening with great success all over the US and Europe.
Wishing to share their enthusiasm for eBikes with others, and bring riders to the best places to experience this “new way to move” on eastern Long Island, Andy and Mary Anna decided that 2021 was the ideal time to launch a unique mobile eBike touring experience, ELECTRIC BIKES A GO GO.
