About this Event
Winter isn’t over yet—so let’s get your gear dialed. Join SheJumps at Patagonia Palo Alto for a women-only ski and snowboard wax pop-up as part of Patagonia’s Mountain Ready: Wax, Wash & Wine event.
This hands-on pop-up is designed to help you feel confident taking care of your own gear. We’ll cover the basics of ski and snowboard waxing—why it matters, when to do it, and how to do it yourself—whether you’re tuning up mid-season or getting ready for the next storm cycle.
Bring your skis or snowboard and wax them on site with guidance from SheJumps volunteers. Patagonia staff will also be hosting a dedicated gear care and wash station, sharing best practices for cleaning, maintaining, and extending the life of your mountain kit.
What you’ll learn:
At the SheJumps wax station
- Ski & snowboard waxing basics (why, when, and how)
- Hands-on, DIY waxing with guidance from experienced volunteers
At the Patagonia gear care station
- How to properly wash and care for your mountain gear
- Tips to keep your gear clean, functional, and storm-ready
Event flow
4:00–5:30 pm: early arrival + open waxing time (bring your skis or board and get started)
5:00–5:30 pm: check-in and mingling
5:30–6:00 pm: waxing demo + overview
6:00–7:00 pm: open waxing, gear washing, and social time
