Happy Saturday everyone!
Apologies for the slightly later than expected release of the October Sheffield EMOM details. We had some issues with the dates and locations for the next couple, but that's all sorted now!
For people wanting to perform, please take note of the following:
While I try to agree slots on all the social media platforms via messages and posts, it has become increasingly difficult to maintain a fair system this way. So can I please ask that applicants only email me for slots to perform after the event details are released. We want to maintain a fair rotation of performers whilst also giving newcomers priority. This helps keep the events inclusive, fresh and fair (and is far easier for me to organise). I am deeply grateful for the interest this event receives which is there to nurture and share our love of all things music!
So, in just under a month from now @hagglers_corner_ we have our Friday format once again. Open mic slots from 6:30-10:30, followed by 3 curated headliner slots for some lively dancing till the end.
Sam Aaron, creator of the musical coding software 'Sonic Pi' recently performed a suberb live coded set at Hagglers, and even gave a talk at Sheffield's 'Festival of the mind' about a web based coding tool that was then demonstrated by (and developed alongside) Sheffield's very own pioneering techno duo - The Black Dog.

Bradford's 'Gnomefoam' takes to the EMOM stage with his unusual and eclectic and soulful creations on his small, but effective box of tricks. With Drum and Bass and breakbeat elements, you'll find his recent album 'Self help hour' is available to listen to and buy on Bandcamp.

And from the picturesque town of Belper, we have errr.... 'Fisting'
For this, _tenebrate and Cacophant have teamed up to fill our ears with some gritty, dirty and dark tunes, interlaced with a blend of cavernous and fist shaped kick drums.

Again, Haggler's are providing decent beer, food, sounds, friendly staff and the usual appreciative EMOM community vibe we've grown to enjoy.
Entry to the entire venue and all the events within costs £3 after 10:30, and is free before then, so get down early!
