The Official Haunted Pub Crawl for Sheffield Beer Week - Back for 2026!
About this Event

Encore - Wednesday 18th March

Fancy a pint with a phantom? Strange Britain is once again brewing up a special ghost tour for Sheffield Beer Week — and this year we’re switching it up for the Sheffield Synth City theme.

Join us as we stalk the city centre’s haunted pubs, uncovering eerie tales from Sheffield’s legendary venues — places where the spirits don’t just go boo, they go bloop-bloop. These are pubs that have soaked up decades of music history, from industrial clatter to analogue beats, and where some ghosts may still be dancing like it’s 1982.

We’ll raise a glass (or perhaps a trembling hand) to Sheffield’s ghostly inhabitants, tuning into local legends, spine-tingling stories, and maybe even a paranormal encounter or two. Expect restless spirits, poltergeists, and unexplained happenings — some of them possibly still stuck on loop.

Imagine sipping a delicious locally brewed craft beer while hearing whispers of the unexplained, all against a backdrop of industrial history, post-punk attitude, and synth-fuelled mythology. This isn’t your average pub crawl — it’s a perfectly balanced mix of local history, chilling folklore, & tales of iconic musical venues. All whilst drinking the finest brews Sheffield has to offer. Think less pub rock, more pub shock.

Your guide for the evening is Adrian Finney, leading you through Sheffield’s historic streets and into the heart of its haunted pub scene, sharing tales of spectral landlords, ghostly patrons, and venues that refuse to fade out. From Human League to haunted leagues, from Cabaret Voltaire to poltergeist voltage, these are stories that still resonate — long after last orders.

Will you dare to join us as we explore Sheffield’s most haunted haunts, where the basslines are heavy, the history is darker, and the spirits… very much still present?

This exclusive Sheffield Beer Week event is sure to sell out faster than a limited-press 12”, so don’t miss your chance to experience the spooky side of Sheffield’s pub culture.
