Sheets to Pants Upcycling workshop

This coming school holidays, we have a workshop not only for the kids (9y.o. plus) and teens, but adults as well. A great class to do with your child!
Learn to make a pair of long pants from sheets, doona covers or pillow cases. Over 2 consecutive days (2.5 hours per day) you'll choose your combination of fabrics, cut and sew a pair of long pants with pockets.
For this class, basic sewing machine skills are required - threading and adjusting sewing machine and understanding basic sewing construction techniques.
DETAILS:
* Classes are over 2 days, 1.30-4pm Tues, Wed (7th and 8th July)
* All materials, patterns and use of equipment is included in the cost of the course.
* You can bring your own sewing machine (must be clean and in good working order, ideally with instruction manual), or use one of ours.
These classes run with a 3:1 student teacher ratio, so students receive ample guidance in learning. Unfortunately we are unable to provide one to one teaching, but if your child requires extra level of assistance, they are welcome to join the class with an assisting support person (at no extra cost).
Our classes and workshops: Our teaching is created using circular economy principles. This means, we will be using many recycled and reclaimed fabrics, and haberdashery items. We are deeply passionate about diverting textile waste from landfill and we do this through upcycling.
