👨‍🌾🪏Our Monday group meets at the polytunnel at 53 Main Street, WK to get organised for Spring. Yes spring is nearly here folks! ☀️🌱🌱🌱
With a focus on sowing, plant care, polytunnel maintenance and some groundwork up to the site.
When the group is big enough we split between the polytunnel and Community Roots and Boyd Orr Gardens.
Come and join us to get some exercise, enjoy nature, learn about sustainable fruit and veg growing and make friends. 🌱
👨‍🌾Varied range tasks and no experience necessary, please come along and say hello 🪏
♿️Accessibility: 53 Main st, through the pink door the garden is found up one set of stairs inside a close. Currently we are working on paths and drainage in the garden so the access is sometimes slippery with a slight incline.
Community Roots Garden: Accessed up a ramped access at the Boyd Orr. there is a steep incline on the path up to and through the Community Roots garden. There are seats available once on the flat area and rests are encouraged. We have the Boyd Orr Garden on one level to the front of the main garden which provides a more accessible space and work can be adapted.
Unfortunately we do not have wheelchair access in the main garden due to the slope it is on.
