Do something AWESOME and kayak your socks off!Join our She Paddles Barwon River Expedition and kayak 9 km along the Barwon River in Geelong, from Gun Dog Lane to Fyansford Common Boat Launch, stopping for breaks along the way.
Led by experienced kayaking instructors who will keep you safe and happy on the water you are sure to have a day to remember while you enjoy the company of friends new and old.
Where & When:
- Barwon River Geelong
- April 26th 9 am - 3 pm
- Meeting Point for car shuttle: Fyansford Common (9:00 am)
- Meeting Point for drop offs: Gun Dog Lane (9:30am)
- Pick Up Point: Fyansford Common (3pm)
- Length: 6 hours
- Who: Anyone with the fitness to sustain activity for 6 hours with breaks
What you need to bring:
- Spare clothes and towel (just in case)
- Lunch and snacks
- Full water bottle
What you need to wear:
- Clothing appropriate to the conditions that you don't mind getting wet, e.g. multiple layers to manage body temperature changes as we paddle. Sun hat, sun glasses and sunscreen.
What is included:
- Mini Bus shuttle to start location
- Experienced and friendly kayak guides
- Sit on top kayak (Max weight limit 130kg), paddle, dry bag and PFD for use during trip
