The Town & Gown Players invite performers to audition for our upcoming production of She Loves Me, the charming and witty romantic musical by Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick, and Joe Masteroff.Set in a 1930s European parfumerie, She Loves Me tells the story of two shop clerks who constantly clash at work but unknowingly fall in love as anonymous pen pals. With heartfelt romance, clever humor, and beautiful music, this beloved musical offers wonderful opportunities for both featured performers and a strong singing ensemble. All ages, types, and experience levels are encouraged to audition
Audition Dates:
Monday, April 13
Tuesday, April 14 (Callbacks if needed)
Time: 7:00pm
Location: Athens Community Theatre, home of the Town & Gown Players, 115 Grady Avenue, Athens, GA 30601
We strongly encourage performers to attend the first night, April 13, so we may use April 14 for callbacks.
You are absolutely welcome to audition on April 14 if that is the only night you are available!
Audition Requirements:
Please prepare 30 seconds to one minute of a song of your choice
Bringing sheet music is encouraged but not required - an accompanist will be available. You may sing to a track if you prefer.
We are especially looking for performers who sing well in harmony, as several musical numbers feature choral ensemble singing.
Auditioners should also be prepared for cold readings from the script.

June 5-7 and 11-14, 2026
