The American Cancer Society will celebrate our annual gala, Shave To Save presented by The University of Kansas Health System and The University of Kansas Cancer Center, on April 25, 2025. Last year, more than 450 community and corporate leaders joined us for an evening to remember, as we raised more than $315,000 to support Hope Lodge Kansas City. Hope Lodge is the only facility in our community dedicated to providing free, temporary housing to cancer patients and their caregivers during treatment.
What makes Shave To Save truly special is that 20+ community and corporate leaders will not only commit to individually raising $5,000 or more, but they will also shave their heads in honor or in memory of someone touched by cancer.
This year, our Shave To Save event will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Hope Lodge Kansas City. This means we are celebrating 25 years of giving hope a home.
