Uzazi Village is committed to educating and introducing to our community more Black and Brown Doulas.

Uzazi Village Doula Training: Our Comprehensive Birth and Postpartum Doula Training equips aspiring doulas with essential skills and cultural sensitivity to support birthing individuals with empathy and expertise. This holistic program covers lactation support, reproductive and sexual health peer counseling, childbirth education, and the business aspects of being a doula, with a focus on creating safe spaces for Black birthing bodies. Emphasizing community and ancestral perspectives, the course integrates cultural competency and personal reflection to prepare you to offer informed, respectful care and build a successful doula practice.

Program Details: This Doula Course is a 9-week course held at Uzazi Village. It consists of education in Birth and Postpartum, Reproductive & Sexual Health, Lactation, Childbirth Education, and The Business of Being a Doula. Students are expected to attend all 9 sessions. There will be a graduation at the end of the course.

Program Costs: The cost of the Doula Course is $1,500. A 20% non-refundable deposit of $300.00 is due to secure your seat in the class.The price includes certification if completed within one year of graduation from training.Payment plans are available, you will be required to sign and adhere to our payment plan policyA 10% discount is given if paying in full before the start of the cohort.You will receive an invoice for your remaining balance for this course, to your email, from bill.com.
