About this Event

✨ Adocentyn Research Library presents Sharon Knight

Join us in Albany, CA, for our new speaker series—an intimate space for exploring the esoteric and mystical arts. Our April event features Sharon Knight, presenting "To Re-Enchant the World: Singing and Sight to Cultivate Wonder".

Description: What does it mean to re-enchant the world? Was the world ever dis-enchanted? Or was it us who became dis-enchanted? What would it look like to fall back into enchantment ? How might we do this?
In this 90 minute session, we will explore ideas of enchantment; including its literal meaning, derived from the Latin In Cantare, “to sing into”.
To sing into is to infuse something with spirit. Thus do witches imbue a talisman with magic. What if we are the talisman and the shimmering world is the magic that imbues us?
This presentation will be part lecture, part singing and drum circle. Bring a drum and prepare to infuse yourself with the magic of your voice!

📅 When: Friday, April 10 | 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM (Doors open at 6 PM)

📍 Where: Adocentyn Research Library, 1025 Solano Ave, Albany, CA

Space is limited to around 30 seats. Purchasing a ticket ahead of time is highly recommended. While we will record the event, there will not be Zoom access. We hope to see you in-person!

About the Speaker: Sharon Knight has a lifelong fascination with the intersection of magic and the arts. She finds creative flow to be a perfect trance state for magical workings. She has practiced various magical disciplines for over 40 years and has been a touring musician and artist for much of her adult life. She is an initiate of the Anderson Faery Tradition and an avid Tarot reader. She lives in Oakland with entirely too many cats.
