Calling all shark tooth seekers! In partnership with Georgia Southern Museum, the Tybee Island Marine Science Center is hosting a "Shark Tooth Search" as the final event for GSU's Shark Week June 21-27.
Special guest and fossil diver Doug Duch will speak about Megalodon and fossil hunting along Georgia's coast. Our friends at Tybee Shark Teeth Tours will also have a hands-on set-up in our East Gallery (the hand in the photo is theirs!)
Following this "bite size" presentation, we will test our luck in search of shark teeth on the beach. Doug will be available to answer questions and help identify your finds. Bring a bag and your shark vision to find those tiny teeth!
FREE with registration. Limited spots available. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Check in at the black gate on the left side of the building next to the playground. Parking available in City of Tybee's North beach lot—don't forget to pay!
