Relations can produce connection, but they can equally expose difference and discomfort.
Shared Heat engages relational aesthetics through exhibition and workshops, examining how bodily proximity and social buffers generate temporary relations of exposure, care, and collective experience. Bringing together works by three artists exploring the body from different perspectives, the exhibition is accompanied by two workshops heldduring the exhibition period, extending these encounters through collective participation.
Across painting, printmaking, and participatory workshops, Shared Heat considers the body as a medium through which intimacy, distance, trust, and vulnerability are continually negotiated. The exhibition invites visitors to move between observation and participation, creating moments of shared experience that unfold through time, space, and encounter.
The two workshops include a therapeutic painting session and a format that does not require direct interaction, instead creating a mediated encounter through works and text. Participants remain anonymous and within their own boundaries, while still connected through chains of response. The workshop materials will be archived, published as a zine, and made available for online viewing.
