Join us at River & Word Arts Collective as we celebrate the opening of our latest exhibit “Shared Ground: Land, People, and Life in Oklahoma.” See original works by Virgil Lampton, Gwen Coleman Lester, George Fulk with Paula Hefley, and Kathy Tibbits. Virgil is a retired Professor of Art from the University of Tulsa. His large sweeping landscapes are featured in collections throughout the U.S.
Gwen is an award-winning Choctaw artist who shares her visions of culture and community.
George is a local artist, conservationist, and retired NSU professor who, along with Paula Hefley, will feature original paintings from his latest bird book titled “More Cherokee County Birds.”
Kathy Tibbits is a retired attorney, local activist, and successful fiber artist who brings us original quilts.
Enjoy appetizers, mocktails, and community among artists, collectors, and all types of creative connoisseurs. We look forward to seeing you there!
