Play, create and connect at Singapore’s largest inclusive arts event!

Get ready to experience art and inclusivity in a whole new way at Shaping Hearts 2026, an annual inclusive arts event organised by North East Community Development Council (NE CDC) that celebrates the creativity and talents of artists with disabilities.

This year marks a new chapter for Shaping Hearts. Artists with disabilities and members of the community are taking the lead in co-creating the experiences themselves. This year’s theme, “Play”, invites everyone to “Step Into Our World” through a series of creative experiences designed for people of all ages and abilities.

Explore art through touch, movement, sound and sight across a series of interactive installations and experiences. Visitors can get hands-on with creative activities co-created by artists with disabilities, social service agencies, youth groups, community groups and art collectives, while discovering how play can spark creativity, encourage connection and bring people together.

Shaping Hearts 2026 will officially launch on 13 September at Punggol Digital District (PDD). For one day only, the launch will feature 16 curated Playdate pop-up experiences developed by artists with disabilities and community members. From playful, hands-on activities to interactive art experiences, there will be plenty of opportunities for visitors to explore different perspectives and discover how art can connect people of all abilities.

Adding to the celebration of collaboration and inclusion, “Many People, One Heart”, a collaborative artwork created at the Kiat Lim Shaping Hearts Awards 2026 and conceptualised by Shining Award recipient Leong Sijun, will also be exhibited as part of the Shaping Hearts roving exhibitions. Inspired by the themes of inclusion and play, the artwork symbolises the collective support and shared commitment towards empowering and celebrating artists with disabilities.
