Shape the World Through Play on the Full Sturgeon Moon
About this Event
The mighty sturgeon spends most of its life in the depths of waterways and oceans, feeling their way through the darkness. But this time of year, under the sturgeon moon, these giant fish are known to leap out of the water.
According to Wikipedia, "Why they do this is not known, but suggested functions include group communication to maintain group cohesion, catching airborne prey, courtship display, or to help shed eggs during spawning. Other plausible explanations include escape from predators, shedding parasites, or to gulp or expel air. Another explanation is that it 'simply feels good.'"
What if you were wild and free enough to do what simply felt good to you? And what if we could create a world where that was the norm for everyone?
All the oppressive systems that we live under were created by human beings. They can be unmade by human beings. If you're feeling the pull of shaking off shoulds and you want to play with other dreamers, this is the place for you!
We’ll use improv games to practice being brave, playful people who boldly name and live out our dreams. No improv experience necessary! Just a willingness to experiment and play.
