SHAP3D Medical Device Additive Manufacturing Roundtable
About this Event
We are hosting roundtable discussion sessions for the regional medical device ecosystem and the research focus areas of SHAP3D, particularly in areas such as biocompatible materials, integration of sensors and electronics, and scalable additive manufacturing processes for medical applications.
We will have lab tours following this event.
To better understand additive manufacturing needs, challenges, and interests, the goal is to:
• bring together like-minded companies for open dialogue around Additive Manufacturing technologies and opportunities,
• identify common technical and research challenges that could benefit from pre-competitive collaboration, and
• foster new connections across the medical device community and the SHAP3D network.

SHAP3D (Science of Heterogeneous Additive Printing of 3D Materials) is a National Science Foundation (NSF) Industry-University Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC) focused on advancing additive manufacturing (3D printing) technologies, including significant applications in the medical device sector.
The center is a collaboration between the University of Massachusetts Lowell (UML), University of Connecticut (UConn), Arizona State University (ASU), and Georgia Institute of Technology.
