Please join us for an afternoon of music and friendship when we welcome ShantyFolk, South Suffolk's very own shanty crew. Five friends who met in 2014 when singing with a community choir based in Lavenham. ShantyFolk have developed a distinctive sound using close harmony in many shanties, songs of the sea and folk songs. You will enjoy hearing the fascinating and engaging stories behind the songs that they sing. ShantyFolk have performed at a number of shanty festivals in East Anglia and The Netherlands, and have been invited to sing at the 2024 Bures Music Festival.
