The Architectural Conservancy Ontario Stratford-Perth County Branch & Gallery Stratford are proud to host the author Shannon Kyles as she speaks on her new book The Story of Ontario Architecture. This beautiful book, The Story of Ontario Architecture, details the cultural evolution of Ontario through buildings. With 1200 photographs (many from Stratford and Perth County), it introduces the reader to the various styles, trends, materials and influences that have resulted in our built heritage. From Indigenous pointing trees, through early settlement, onto Victorian splendor and the rise of the middle classes in the 20th century, our development has been both beautiful and meaningful. This book is aimed at home owners, students, design enthusiasts, people who love to travel around the province, and anyone with intellectual curiosity. The more you understand about a topic, the more you will enjoy it. This book will expand the architectural palate.
Come meet the author. Hear her speak firsthand about the research behind the book, the role architecture plays in our daily lives and pick-up your own signed copy.
Great for anyone's library and holiday giving!
Thank you to event sponsor Bettianne Hedges, Broker - Sotheby's International Realty, Canada.
