FUNDRAISER for UNC Club Beach Volleyball TeamUnfortunately, due to the damage caused by Tropical Storm Chantal, UNC Club Beach Volleyball's home base for practices and fundraiser tournaments was permanently destroyed. This has left them without a space to host events that are essential for raising the funds they need to travel and participate in tournaments. They rely heavily on these opportunities not only to cover travel expenses but also to build community and grow the sport on campus. Without a dedicated space, it has become increasingly difficult for the team to train consistently and support the competitive and developmental opportunities their club provides.
This tournament is serving as a fundraiser for the UNC Club Beach Volleyball team. Because of this, the prize pool will be 50% of the total registrations (after expenses). Open division will still be 100% payout.
TIME
Player arrival: 10:30AM
Players meeting: 10:45AM
Tournament start: 11:00AM
Tournament end: 8:00PM-9:00PM
LOCATION
Multiple Purpose Field 1 at Henry Anderson III Community Park (302 N. Carolina Highway 54 West, Chapel Hill, NC 27516)
TEAM COMPOSITION
At least one (1) girl
No more than two (2) guys
Teams can have three (3) or four (4) total players
FORMAT
Coed on a big court at men's height net.
A block does NOT count as a touch. No courtesy rule. Anyone can block and attack at the net. Let serves are good.
DIVISIONS
Open, AA, A, BB*
*Hand setting or jump serving are NOT allowed in BB
POOLS
Pools of 4 will be prioritized. Once a division has 8 teams, it will be capped until an additional 4 teams register.
PLAYOFFS
All teams will make a playoff of some sort. Divisions of 3+ pools will be split into an Upper and Lower playoff bracket. Lower playoff winners do not receive prizes, just additional volleyball play.
Playoff seeding is based on YOUR pool results. Finishing 2nd or lower in your pool means you will not receive a top seed in the playoffs, regardless of how other pool records turn out.
It is important to do well in your pool.

$40/player (NO additional fees)
DEADLINE
Registration will end at 11:59 p.m. on the Wednesday before the tournament. Any registrations after this time will be allowed in at our sole discretion and not all divisions will be available. We will prioritize efficiency of the tournament over maximizing total teams.
AVP MEMBERSHIP
An active Silver AVP membership at the time of the tournament is required to participate.
FIVB EXPERIMENTAL SETTING
