Shamanic Drum Circle and Hape

Join us for an intimate evening of rhythm, prayer, connection and life celebration in Highams Park woodland.

Together we'll gather in circle with shamanic drumming, sacred songs and mantras from shamanic community Terra Mirim in Brazil, creating a heart opening and celebratory space of presence, healing, connection and community.

The evening includes the opportunity to sit with Hapé (Rapé), a traditional sacred snuff prepared from the tobacoo plant and ashes by Indigenous peoples of the Amazon. Offered with respect and intention, Hapé has long been used in ceremonial settings to support prayer, clarity, and inner stillness. Participation is always optional, and guidance will be provided for those who are new to the medicine.

We are honoured to welcome Minah Shama, daughter of the renowned XamAM Alba Maria, who carries the lineage of the Mother Gooddess and the traditions of Terra Mirim as both a medicine woman and gifted percussionist. Through her drumming and sacred chants, she brings the living rhythms and prayers of her lineage.

Joining her is Kyara Mensie, a medicine woman and holistic therapist who is also a member of Terra Mirim tribe, iniciated in the sacred medicinis of Hape, Sweat Loge, tobaccoo and San Pedro, she continues to share these sacred teachings with devotion and humility.

This is a pay-what-you-can gathering, open to anyone called to experience the healing power of rhythm, song, ceremony, and nature. Whether you come to drum, sing, meditate, or simply sit in the circle, you are warmly welcome.

Please bring: a drum or rattle if you have one, water, warm layers, and something comfortable to sit on. No previous experience is needed.
