Auditions for Atlas Theatre Company's inaugural Shakespeare in the Parking Lot presentation of the Shakespeare classic, "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Roles are available for all performers, ages high school through adult. Casting will be non-gender specific as applicable. All experiences levels are encourage to audition. A stipend will be provided for all roles.
Set in a modern landscape, in the not-quite-reality world of Athens and the woods that surround it, the story focuses on Nick Bottom (a weaver), and the lines that can become skewed as fantasy and reality begin to cross in the dream state!
Auditions will be held on both Sunday, May 19th (2-4pm), and Monday, May 20th (6-8pm), at Studio 170 in Peshtigo. Performances will be conducted there as well on August 22nd (Preview), 23rd and 24th. Audition slots are 10 minutes each. Please be prepared to present a memorized monologue (at least 30 seconds in length, any style/genre- but Shakespeare in encouraged). You may be asked to read something from the play as well. A headshot/picture and resume is requested but not mandatory.
