Get ready for a night of history, mystery, and spine-chilling tales! Join your FMWR community on Thursday, October 24th as we team up with the legendary Haunts of Richmond for an exclusive, 90-minute guided walking tour of Shockoe Bottom—one of the oldest and most famously haunted neighborhoods in the River City.

As the sun sets, we will wander the historic cobblestone streets and explore the shadows of Richmond’s past. Whether you are a believer in the supernatural or just love a great ghost story, this tour is the perfect way to kick off your spooky season!

The Game Plan (Detailed Schedule)

We’ve got your entire evening planned out from door to door. Here is how our night will look:

5:00 PM-Depart Installation Meet at the designated pickup point. Board the van, grab your FMWR welcome bag, and enjoy the ~30-minute ride.

5:30 PM – 6:45 PM Free Time & Dinner We will drop you off in Shockoe Bottom, where you'll have plenty of time to grab dinner at one of the neighborhood's great local restaurants.

6:45 PM – 7:00 PM Group Check-in We will gather back together at Richbrau Brewing Company (5 S. 20th Street) to check in and meet our official tour guide.

7:00 PM – 8:30 PM Shadows of Shockoe Ghost Tour Embark on a fascinating 90-minute, 3/4-mile walking tour. Explore historic sites like the Old Stone House and Masons' Hall while hearing the real history and ghost stories behind them.

8:30 PM – 9:00 PM Return Ride Hop back in the van for a relaxing, stress-free ride back to the installation.

9:00 PM Arrive at Installation Arrive back safely. Tour concludes!

Safety & Comfort Tips

• Uneven Terrain: Shockoe Bottom is beautiful but historic! Expect cobblestones and brick sidewalks. Comfortable, flat walking shoes are highly recommended.

• Cool Autumn Air: October evenings can get chilly. We recommend dressing in layers and bringing a light jacket or sweater.

• Family Guidelines: This tour blends real history with spooky folklore and is best suited for guests ages 10 and up.
