Shadow Work – Peering into the Dark
with Maggi Colwell

The Shadow is a concept that originated with renown psychologist Carl Jung. Shadow work as taught by Jung is the key aspect to personal integration and knowledge of the self. In this workshop, High Priestess and Art Therapist, Maggi Colwell will discuss what shadow work is, and what it isn’t. They will offer ideas utilizing trancework, meditations, and ritual techniques, in accordance with the dark moon, for developing and deepening your personal shadow work practice.
Maggi Colwell recognized their deep interest in both creativity and dreams at a young age with an interest in alchemical symbolism, mythology, and surrealism.
Maggi received their bachelors in visual art from Salisbury University in 2003. Maggi now considers art-making a conversation with their soul.

Magically speaking, Maggi trained with the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel, for 12 years, receiving their 3rd degree as high priestex in 2011. Their studies have included ceremonial magic, hermetic Qabala, tarot, mythology, and astrology. Their book, Ecstasy in Shadow, explores a synthesis of art and science, containing both poetry and a teaching essay on the 27 th path of the Qabala.
Maggi offers online and in-person training through their open training coven, Arts Coven. Arts Coven blends the magical and creative arts in rituals and workshops to aid personal development and self-inquiry. This is the Great Work. Maggi received their Masters in Art Therapy from Florida State University and is a board-certified art therapist. They have a master’s level Dream Pattern Certificate from the Assisi Institute. Maggi is currently a training candidate at the CG Jung Institute Zurich.
