As you grew up, were you shamed for crying or punished for being angry? Maybe you were ridiculed for drawing attention to yourself; for being you?
When these things happen, the young self can split-off, repress, deny or alter parts of themselves and put them into shadow to avoid further pain... to hide them.
As an adult, the repercussions of these alterings can be experienced in many ways. It may have affected your ability to trust and be truly intimate; to know your truth and express it well. It may have affected your self-worth and belief to act on your dreams; your ability to honour your feelings, your fears, to not drown them out; to allow rest, creativity and play; to pursue joy!
Our altered behaviours can be like shadows on a wall. Shadow Work enables us to acknowledge them and discover what’s creating them. We can then set about understanding where they’ve come from, comprehend what is needed, and feel it, think it, do it, be it.
Shadow Work enables you to meet these subconscious, estranged facets of you that sabotage your life in remarkable ways. When you acknowledge and own your relationship to them, you can recover a more self-directed life.

Jono Condous and Catherine Newell warmly invite you to attend this educational, experiential, exploratory weekend.
During our time together, we’ll be explaining and inviting you to experience the archetypes, which creates an awareness of this way of working onto which our deeper explorations are based.
Archetypes have been used for centuries as symbols of the human condition, recognized by the native American communities and later developed into a psychological system by psychologist Carl Jung. In our modern world the archetypes of Magician, Lover, Warrior and Sovereign have come to represent our capacity to think, love, set boundaries and lead.
Having thoroughly explained, experienced and exposed areas that are comfortable and less so, you will then have an opportunity to be supported with a piece of personal work, if you wish to, utilising the myriad of Shadow Work tools. This is an opportunity to deeply delve into what is subconsciously affecting your life, to work with it, to restore you to your more balanced, loving, creative, powerful self.
These groups are always very beautiful and extraordinary for the connections we make and depths we explore.

WHEN: The 13th - 15th February 2026. Fri 2pm-9pm, Sat 9am-10pm and Sun 9am-5pm.
WHERE: 50 Portland Road, Hove, BN3 5DL.
COST: £450-£750. We ask that you choose an amount that is comfortable and engaging for you to attend. A £150 non-refundable booking fee will secure you a place. This includes dinner on Friday, lunch and dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday with treats, drinks and snacks. You will need somewhere comfortable to stay. There are some rooms in the house and many bnb's nearby.
Bursaries are available if the lower rate is still unaffordable. It's important to us that this is accessible.

The full payment needs to be paid by the 30th January 2026.
If you are booking after the 30th Jan, you will need to pay the full amount to book a place.
If you cancel before 30th Jan, we will return your whole fee minus the booking fee.
If you cancel after the 30th Jan, there will be no refund unless we can replace you in which case we’ll refund half your full fee).
