These workshops are suitable for beginners and those wishing to acquire new skills in ceramics. In this workshop you will create a set of organic , free flowing forms by hand. We will use the traditional pottery technique of Sgraffito to carve our own designs through the coloured slip to reveal the clay beneath. ( sgraffito literally means “to scratch” in Italian. Demonstration and guidance throughout. Join us for an afternoon of peace and tranquility.
You will leave your pieces with us for the glazing and kiln firing process after which your pieces will be food safe or perfect for displaying Jewellery and precious things ! Ready to collect in 2-3wks.
