The novice and green show is meant for novice handler/riders and green horses ONLY it is not an open show. Seasoned handler/riders and horses are encouraged to enter our other open shows. This show will run like a regular show but handlers, riders and horses will get judged as well as educated feedback and guidance from the judge in every class.Novice definition: A handler or rider who has not won ANY judged classes before. These handler/riders may be in their 1-3rd year handling and riding horses. No seasoned competitors, trainers or professionals.
Green definition: A horse or pony that has not won ANY judged class before. A horse or pony that is young or has not show before or in a long time. No seasoned show horses.
Some other facts:
• This is a come as you are show (no show attire needed!) BUT it is not a training show. All tack and attire must be legal show tack, no training equipment, tank tops, etc.
• There are daily high points for both novice and green divisions.
• This is a border run challenge show so points will be given towards their year-end awards.
• No Spring Grove Horse Show year-end points will be awarded as it is not an open show in our series.
