SFU Long Service & Retiree Celebration

Please join us in honouring SFU faculty and staff who have reached 25 years of service and those who retired in 2024/2025. 

Your dedication has helped shape the SFU community, and now it’s time to celebrate you—your commitment, your impact, and the legacy you’ve built. This event is all about recognizing and thanking you. 

The celebration will feature remarks from President Joy Johnson, Provost and Vice-President Academic Dilson Rassier, and Vice-President, People, Equity & Inclusion Yabome Gilpin-Jackson. 

• Date: Thursday, October 23, 2025 
• Time: Doors open at 1:30 pm. Event from 2:00pm to 4:00pm 
• Location: Student Union Building Ballroom, SFU Burnaby Campus 
• Specifics: Light snacks will be provided 
• Attire: Business casual
