President & Vice-Chancellor Joy Johnson invites you to this year’s Employee Appreciation BBQ! On July 29, join us at the AQ Pond on SFU’s Burnaby campus as we recognize the ongoing dedication and hard work of SFU faculty and staff over the past year.

Tell your coworkers and bring your whole team to come meet new friends, reunite with old ones and enjoy a delicious meal and some collegial fun. Pre-registration is required for the event via Eventbrite so please ensure you have a ticket in advance.

Housekeeping information

• In alignment with our sustainability and climate action commitments, this will aim to be a zero-waste event. All materials provided are compostable or recyclable. Please bring a refillable bottle or mug for water.
• Shuttle buses will be available for employees traveling from the Vancouver and Surrey campuses to Burnaby. If you are not taking the bus, please consider sustainable transportation options such as carpooling, public transit, or cycling.
• Free parking will be available in the East Lot between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for employees from Surrey and Vancouver campuses.
• This is an outdoor event — rain or shine! Please dress appropriately for the weather.
