About this Event

New to film photography and not sure where to start? Wondering why your film photos sometimes turn out too dark, blurry, out of focus, or different from what you expected?

Join us for Film Photography Photowalk with Boyang and Parker, a beginner-friendly outdoor photowalk at Central Park. This hands-on event is designed for anyone who is interested in shooting film, whether you use a 35mm film camera, a point-and-shoot camera, or a disposable camera.

During the photowalk, we will cover the basics of film photography, including how film works, how to better understand light, and how to compose stronger photos. We will also go over common film photography mistakes, such as underexposure, camera shake, missed focus, not using flash in low light, and accidental double exposures.

Participants will have time to walk around the park, take photos, ask questions, and practice what they learn in a relaxed outdoor setting.

This event is suitable for beginners and casual film shooters who want to feel more confident before pressing the shutter.

Please bring your own film camera or disposable camera if you have one. Participants will also have a chance to win a Fujifilm snapshot camera in our prize draw.

We will meet at Imperial/Pitch & Putt Parking lot at 2:00 pm July 18th.
