In honor of the 65th anniversary of the Seneca Falls Historical Society moving into the Becker Mansion, Executive Director Jonathan Monfiletto will give a presentation titled "The Beckers: The Family, Their Home, Their Help and How SFHS Fits Into Their Story" during the SFHS's 64th Annual General Meeting and Dinner. As the title states, he will share the history of Norman and Catherine Becker and their eight children, the mansion they moved into in the summer of 1891, the servants that helped the family take care of the household and property, and the historical society Florence Becker sold her home to in 1961.The event starts at 5 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres, and dinner begins at 6 p.m. with a buffet that includes sliced roast beef with au jus, herb encrusted cod, and eggplant parmesan. The business meeting takes place at 7 p.m. with the speaking presentation to follow. There are also a silent auction and a live auction. Tickets cost $70 per person.
