Sex Change USA Zine Launch Event

Join us for the launch of the new zine, Sex Change USA: Lost in Transition. It'll be an evening celebrating trans history and trans history making and trans archiving!

Sex Change USA is an independent archving project seeking to collect, analyze, and make available all instances of transgender life as told by the supermarket tabloids of the 20th century. Often, the ways we were reported about decades ago are more compassionate and nuanced (and fun) than we are today. Lost in Transition, the second volume in the series, is a 44 page zine that focuses exclusively on the stories and culture of the tabloids of the 1990s with over a dozen new articles and collages not featured in the first volume.

This launch event will be a celebration of trans history and of all independent weirdo archivists and gonzo historians everywhere, with readings by Daisy Thursday (and friends!) from the zine, tabloids, and other creative queer research projects. Perfect for lovers of gossip, transsexuals, physical media, and sex changes. Bring a friend!
