$60 per person. All supplies included.If your sewing machine has been staring you down, this friendly beginner workshop will get you stitching with confidence. Linda Zinke of It’s Sew Linda Creations will teach sewing basics while you make a set of simple, modern fabric coasters to take home. Bring your own machine or borrow one of ours. No experience needed.
What you’ll learn:
- How to thread your machine
- Winding and loading a bobbin
- Stitch settings and speed control tips
- Cutting squares accurately and pressing seams
- Seam allowance, edge stitching, and finishing techniques
- Assembling a set of fabric coasters from start to finish
We provide all materials and tools. Bring your machine if you have one. We have a few to lend.
About Linda:
Linda spent years in the nonprofit world while raising her kids and sewing on the side. Now retired, she runs It’s Sew Linda Creations and makes functional and fun goods like bags, coasters, aprons, and quilts, often using recycled materials. Her teaching style is relaxed and practical, perfect for total beginners.
