Sewing for Beginners

This 6-week Workshop will be held on Monday mornings from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, starting on February 2, 2026 and ending on March 9,2026.

You will complete at least 6 projects during these 6 classes:

Projects include

1) Make a dishtowel

2) Small drawstring bag

3) Pillow case

4) Market bag

5) Lazy Pants

6) Bowl cozy

Students are encouraged to bring their own sewing machines -- it's nice to have a machine you can use at home, so bringing you own machine will allow you to sew on the same machine at home and in class. If you don't have one, we do have some sewing machines here for you to use.

All supplies included in fees.

Instructor: Stephanie Dauenhauer

Instructor bio: I have been teaching sewing for the last 45 years - including for Metro Nashville Adult Education Classes. I started sewing at the age of 8 and I used to sew for the public, but do not do that any more. I just love teaching people to sew!
