Sewing Club: Mending Class

Welcome to Sewing Club! Learn basic sewing skills and bring home your own handmade treasures.

This creative and colourful class will teach you how to fix your own clothing, using scrap fabrics sourced from damaged clothing. Bring in a favourite item of clothing that has been damaged—a tear or a stain—and learn how to repair it! This class is loosely based on a traditional Japanese method called Sashiko.

We welcome sewists of all skill levels, but do recommend some experience with threading a needle and handstitching for this class. There is always room for us to learn and grow together.

All mending materials provided. Just bring your creativity and curiosity!

Recommended for ages 8+.

Registration is per class, per child.
