Sewing club in the community room at Tesco Bulwell. Fun, friendly group where everyone is welcome! No need to book, just turn up on the day! Any questions just contact Sharron at The Big BEE (Bloomin’ Easy English) Sewing Club and she’ll be happy to help.
Whether you’re learning to sew from scratch, improving skills, learning mending and alterations, upcycling your old textiles or just want to come along and sew in a social setting - whatever you want to do with sewing and textiles everyone is welcome! Dressmaking, toy making, basic soft furnishings (I’m not an expert on curtains), textile arts, fabric collage, scrap busting, machine embroidery (free motion) and more!
We have sewing machines available to use and plenty of sewing kit so no need to bring anything along but you’re welcome to bring your own if you want. A small charge of £3 per session is asked to cover the cost of replacement, repairs and maintenance of the sewing kit and machines and insurance.
Thanks to a very generous donation we also have plenty of fabric available that are suitable for learner projects and when you’re ready to plan a full project Sharron can help you plan it so you know exactly what you’re going to need if you need to buy anything.
Other fabrics and kits available to buy at low cost.
Tea, coffee and hot chocolate always available, just pop a donation in the box to cover the costs (but don’t go without if you don’t have any coins, we don’t want anyone going thirsty and you can always make it up later!) and of course Tesco Cafe is right next door as well.
