Adults' Sewing Workshop at Bea's Closet, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8 pm in October, beginning Thursday, October 2, through Tuesday, October 28. Our first class always devotes time to learning the basics of the sewing machine to make your experience less frustrating and allows me to understand your interests to create a tailored curriculum. No machine? No problem! Bea's Closet is equipped with state-of-the-art sewing machines, embroidery machines, and sergers, as well as top-of-the-line sewing furniture designed to make large projects easier to cut and measure. Use our industrial steamer, dress forms, or flat press. The cost is $225, with a 15% discount for Town of Leicester residents ($191.25). Payment methods include Venmo, cash, or check. This workshop is limited to 8 sewists. DM Liz with any questions and to reserve your spot! Some things that beginner students have made include tote bags, pajama pants, alterations like hems and zippers, zippered bags, children’s clothing, garment bags, and more. You will leave with an understanding of the sewing machine and how to operate one independently, as well as producing high-quality projects of your very own design and production.
