Sewing & Crafting Society Meetup
About this Event
Come as you are and bring your current project! Sewing & Crafting Society Meetup is a relaxed, community-style gathering for sewists, quilters, crocheters, knitters, embroiderers, paper crafters, jewelry makers, Cricut creators, and anyone who loves making things with their hands. All crafts and skill levels are welcome!
This is not a class. There’s no curriculum, no instructor, and no pressure—just a room full of creative people working on the projects they love, sharing ideas, and cheering each other on. Whether you’re sewing a garment, finishing a quilt block, crocheting a blanket, making jewelry, working on a scrapbook, or figuring out your very first project, you’ll find your people here.
What to expect:
- A welcoming, judgment-free space for creatives of all ages. Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Fellow makers to swap tips with, troubleshoot alongside, and get inspired by.
- A relaxed atmosphere where you can create, connect, and enjoy good company.
- Meetups held at George Memorial Library in Richmond, Texas.
What to bring:
- Your current sewing, quilting, or crafting project.
- Your sewing machine, crafting equipment, or tools needed for your project.
- All supplies, notions, and materials you’ll need.
- An extension cord or power strip if your equipment requires electricity.
- Your favorite snack(s).
- Your WIPs (Works in Progress), UFOs (Unfinished Objects), creative ideas, and big dreams—bring it all!
Whether you leave with a finished project, a few more rows completed, or simply a full heart and fresh inspiration, Sewing & Crafting Society Meetup is your monthly permission slip to slow down, create something, and connect with your creative community.
