Sewing 102 Workshop: Make A Tote Bag | Jan 31st | 1-3 PM

Ready to take your knowledge of basic sewing to the next level? Yes?! Will this workshop is for you! Join us for Sewing 102 at 3016 Colonial Ave!

During this workshop you will learn how to:

• Cut & measure your fabric pieces
• Sew the pieces together neatly following the seam allowance
• Finish the edges to prevent unwanted fraying
• Pressing hems & seams
• Using a loop turner to make narrower shoulder straps
• Reinforce shoulder straps for long wear
• *Make an inner pocket (time-dependent on each individual)
• Make a finished tote bag to take home to show family/friends.

For this workshop, you should be an advanced beginner or intermediate & you should know how to do the following:

• Thread your machine (top thread and bobbin)
• Wind bobbin thread
• Sew with a straight stitch and use the reverse button/lever

Our expert instructor will guide you through sewing you very own tote bag, from cutting, sewing, finishing the edges and pressing hems and seams. Don't miss out on this opportunity to grow in your creativity and work to master a new skill. Grab your spot now!

If you plan to BYOS (sewing machine), bring all necessary parts and the manual if you still have it. Select the option: "Admission: I Will Bring My Own Sewing Machine."

If you need to borrow a sewing machine, don't worry, we will have one available for you. Select the option: "Admission: I Need To Borrow A Sewing Machine."

***3 Color options available for tote bags: Navy Blue, Red, & Green. Make sure to select "Add-on" or color will be selected for you. This option will only be available up until January 20th to allow for delivery of materials. Ticket purchases after this will have color chosen for you.***
