Join us for Sewing 101, a hands-on class where you'll learn the basics of sewing in a fun and relaxed environment. In this project-based class, you will create your a reusable grocery tote while learning the foundations of sewing that can be transferred to any future projects you have! Whether you're a complete beginner or just need a refresher, our experienced instructor will guide you through the steps, helping build your knowledge and confidence.

What to Expect:

• Project-Based Learning: This class will lead you through the process of sewing a tote bag. This practical, project-based approach ensures that you not only grasp the basics, but shows you how to apply them to a project.
• Hands-On Guidance: Our experienced instructor will lead you step-by-step through the process. Whether you're threading a needle for the first time or seeking to enhance your skills, your instructor will be there to support you.
• Transferable Skills: Learn the foundational principles of sewing, from threading your machine to trouble-shooting common issues.

Who Should Attend:

• Anyone, ages 18 and up!
• Complete Beginners: If you've never touched a sewing machine or felt intimidated by the idea of sewing, this workshop is designed for you. Our beginner-friendly environment ensures a supportive learning space.
• Refreshers: For those who have some sewing experience but need a refresher, this class is an excellent opportunity to brush up on your skills and gain new insights.
• Anyone Interested in Sewing: Whether you have a specific project in mind or just want to explore the world of sewing, this workshop is open to all sewing enthusiasts.

• Date & Time: Thursdays, January 16, 23, and 30
• 6:00-8:00 PM
• Location: Coco-op Makerspace 1155 W Kaibab Ln, Flagstaff, AZ
• Materials: All necessary materials will be provided. Students are welcome to bring their own home machines or use one provided at Coco-op. All costs are included.
